So you think you know every little exploit? The BEST way to make money? The BEST ship? Well I want to hear it and I’m sure others do too!
Since it’s hard to sort through everyone’s opinions and all the random posts on the forums, I’d like to have a place here for all the players out there who want to write some kind of guide, long or short, and have it posted in a place that won’t get buried 10 pages deep in a forum… never to be seen again!
So if you would like to write a guide or have already written a guide post it in the comments, include your name (or screen name) and your website or whatever you would like to put out there in public. I’ll take your article and repost it as a separate post on the site! If you have pictures then that’s ok, I host all my own pictures here and I can set you up with a login where you can author everything right on the site (it’s WordPress, so it’s easy to write articles).
Thanks and I hope there are a TON of gamers out there that want to give this a try!
Just a little tip:
If you like using M6 , try out Griffon sentinel. It’s 2. smallest M7… And you can fight againts an M2 if you’re skilled with it
That’s a great tip…. But I’m looking for more of a few paragraphs on a specific subject.
I would be right into that… I’ve been guiding a mate with cancer into the game cause he’s got some time on his hands lately.
Iv been running these games for 10 years, 24/7 for weeks at a time. I use multiple mods and scripts too.
What sorta articles are you after? Starting guides? Building station guides and locations? Battle strategies?
Ill prepare something and get it up soon.
Cheers- Daniel.
Anything you want! Any subject! If you want to send in multiple different ones that would be great too!
One idea, there are a ton of station building guides out there, do you have any unique ideas for station building that everyone would want to know? Even for the more experienced player who knows how to make a complex, but how would they take it to the next level? What considerations would they have on graphics to avoid sector stuttering? And on and on.
Same goes for writing a unique “Game Start” article. Possibly instead of just writing a game start that says “go do x and x” like the others do, maybe have some specific goals for the start? Like some motivation behind this play-through. I know a lot of the starter guides just get you through through a few sectors, but it would be great to see one that gives the new player a purpose, like building their own economy or fleets to go take out the Pranid or something. Recommend to the new player some goals for their game- whereas the other guides leave the new player at just as lost as when they began, but with a little more money of course.
I know with all the new people coming to X3+ every week half of them start up a game or read a guide or two and then they are still lost and go back to playing whatever they were doing before. I want these people to see why we love the Egosoft games (or why we are addicted however you want to look at it lol).
Anyways, sorry for the long reply but other writers may take some inspiration from this…. However I’m not sure if I was still coherent half-way through the reply….
yeah i’m just rambling for most of this… lots of thoughts in different directions… sorry guys!
i’m playing a fresh start of albion prelude, with no scripts, and no cheats to re-fresh my memory on how daunting starting this game can be.
at later stages i’ll go through what scripts i use and what they add to the game.
ta- Daniel.
I have a great tip for getting ships free and without to much hassle. Ok first get the fastest M5 you can find(500 speed or more). You need a jump drive (not nessisary but it helps). Then go from sector to sector checking all the stations for the return abandoned shipissions. One you find one go clame it and instead of bringing it back dock it at the closest station and abandon the mission. You get no loss of rep that way. Then leave the sector for a wile so the wing of ships that’s usually sent to destroy the clamed ship leave the sector. If you keep the ship docked till they leave they won’t attack it. Once there gone you have yourself a free ship. Just so you guys know the potential of this I have captured 3 M7Ms kraken and two Ares and 2 heavy Nimissis a heavy ospray a dragon and 2 reg nimisses along with some top of the line m3s and so forth. Give it a shot and tell me what you think
